About Me

I am a Christian woman living in the South, raised in the North, educator, future wife, lover of laughter, fur-baby mother, sister, daughter, cousin, friend.
I love crafting, I'm pretty dexterous with Microsoft Word and making Pinterest ideas a reality. I like learning new words (it's the English teacher in me), and grammatical errors simply jump out at me. I promise I'm not perfect though, so if you see grammatical errors in this blog, don't judge but please let me know!! I love being colorful, trying new things, and traveling (especially when I get to travel with my future husband and soulmate, Alex).
As I approach 30 and life begins to change from the "pretend adult days," to the Wow-I'm-almost-30-and-like-a-real-adult era, I found myself comparing, and missing my younger, more fit, more everything days. I realized that this is not the recipe for a happy life. I must enjoy every moment I've been given because tomorrow is not promised. Therefore, I am learning to love life, with every extra curve, extra hour of sleep needed, extra bill and responsibility. I am going to love all life has to offer, because... well... it's the only life I get :)

My favorite woman in the entire world, my grandma Fisher, gram, died May 12, 2017. She was 91 years old and acted like she was 31. She was so easy to talk to, and epitomized what it means to "live life to the fullest." Gram loved to travel, she gave freely, loved animals, and her family dearly. She giggled, laughed, played cards, and honestly said YES to anything that would be fun or require camaraderie. Her spirit will live on in me as I embark on my adult life intent on living every day to the fullest. I will love as she loved, give as she gave, and never let others see me in a bad mood. Never once did I hear this woman complain, see her unhappy, or feel anything other than pure happiness exude from her. She lived every day to the fullest, and I will make her proud. :)
